Mail Order - You Aren't Dreaming

This is such a good deal, you would swear you are dreaming!

The Antique Rose Emporium has a “wake up and smell the coffee” offer for Valentine’s Day, guaranteed to keep you out of the doghouse this year.

Our Mail Order Valentine Special is a Belinda’s Dream rose for $13.95 (regularly $19.95) plus normal shipping and handling charges.  (The discount will not be reflected on the website, BUT be assured it will be applied when your order is downloaded into our system.)

Here is why this rose is so special:
  1. Blooms all season long with beautiful cut flower quality roses
  2. Has been designated as an EarthKind rose
  3. It is easy to grow and tolerates even the coldest of temperatures
  4. Makes a thick, rounded 3 to 6 foot shrub
  5. Versatile in habit, this rose can be used as a specimen plant or grown in large containers

So, do the math.  You can spend $30.00 or more on a flower bouquet that may last a week or two or spend less for a Belinda’s Dream rose that will bloom for years to come.  Remember, the roses they cut, smell and enjoy will always remind them of you.

Call 800-441-0002 or order online at www.weAREroses.com while supplies last or through 2-14-2016.  If now is not a good planting time for your valentine, delivery can be delayed.  We will be happy to send an announcement card containing your sappy message in time for Valentine’s Day with the rose to follow at the appropriate planting time.  Just let us know.

February To-Do List:

Triumphator Lily: “WOW!” These photos came from Jimmy Turner but you don’t have to have his gardening genius to succeed with them. These lilies tower over beds at about 50 inches in height. They will bloom beautifully in zones 5-9 (in early summer here in Texas.) They are fabulously fragrant. Each year you’ll be blessed with larger and larger clumps.

Early Spring Vegetable Gardens: Until the end of February you can still plant lettuces, mustard and turnip greens, sugar peas, carrots, kales, chards, spinach, radishes, and beets from seed. Tomatoes and peppers can be given a early start by planting now with protection (greenhouses, etc.) We have seeds available. We also have transplants of strawberries, kales, and cauliflowers,

Belinda’s Dream or Valentine’s Dream? From February 1st through Valentine’s Day our 2 gallon Belinda’s Dream are $12.00 each. You’ll be someone’s sweetheart all year long with the gift of this beautiful rose.

Featured Rose:  Belinda's Dream

A cross between Tiffany and Jersey Beauty, this fast growing shrub is upright and sturdy, has few disease problems, and is covered with a plenitude of bluish-green foliage. The flowers are freely produced throughout the growing season and are simply lovely with a rich, distinctive fragrance of their own. Belinda’s Dream was named for the daughter of one of Dr. Basye’s friends. Having seen the plant in full flush of bloom, we can only envy her distinction. Our most popular rose…Hardy to zone 5.

Who Doesn't Love Hot Cocoa?

Who Doesn't Love Hot Cocoa?
Its richness and warmth always seems to hit the right spot. Wouldn’t it be great if there was something that could do the same for our gardens?
Hot Cocoa is the rose. Although this is a new Antique Rose Emporium Mail Order offering, we have sold this rose at our retail display gardens for a couple of years. Our customers love it! In fact, we can’t keep it in stock when it is in bloom.
This three to four foot, hardy shrub has the most unusual coloration. It is rather hard to describe – maybe “brick”? You will pick up tones of orange, red, brown, possibly faint purple tones depending on the climate. What we do like about this open shrub is its dark, rich foliage. Talk about healthy looking, this rose is it.
So, if you are needing a darker colored rose for your garden, you might want to consider this one. From now until December 10, 2015 this rose will be on sale for $10.00 plus normal shipping and handling.
Online pricing will not reflect the discount when ordering, however, it will be applied at time of processing.
